About Southampton Spiritualist Centre
Southampton Spiritualist Centre (Formally Church) has been part of the spiritualist national union for some 115 years, its origin comes from the late Alfred (Alfie to his friends) Hendy and his late wife whom donated the building to the spiritualists national union to be used for a place of public worship and educational seminars, Today the church is still used very much for the same events including a Divine service at 11 am which was the same time ever since 1915.
Our Centre has a wonderful enriched history of not only holding events but also helping to ease loved ones suffering as they return to the summer lands.
The late Great Gordon Higginson in the war would march the troops through central Southampton and up the avenue to our centre where all members of the congregation would stand and give up there seats.
Your centre today is ran by a wonderful committee who oversee everything daily to ensure the doors remain forever open.
